Emil Frey Racing ahead of an exciting Sprint Cup season finale in Valencia

📌 Fast Facts 📌

This coming weekend, the GT World Challenge Sprint Cup reaches its climax with the season finale in Valencia, Spain. For the fourth time, the international GT series will visit the Circuit Ricardo Tormo – a track that carries both cherished memories and unfulfilled championship dreams for Emil Frey Racing.

On their last appearance in Valencia, the Swiss team celebrated a strong double podium, capping off the season with an impressive finish. At the same time, the circuit also witnessed one of the most dramatic moments in the team’s history: in 2022, Emil Frey Racing missed out on the championship in one of the closest finishes ever – by just 0.380 seconds.

The stage is set for a dramatic showdown this year. Thierry Vermeulen and Chris Lulham in the #69 Emil Frey Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 still lead the overall Gold Cup standings, but after a challenging weekend in Magny-Cours their advantage has been reduced to only 2.5 points. What looked like a potential early decision before the penultimate round has now turned into a thrilling title fight at the finale.

The #14 Ferrari crew heads to Valencia full of determination. Following their encouraging performance in Magny-Cours, the team is highly motivated to deliver a strong result and close the season on a high note.

With plenty of excitement, fighting spirit, and the memory of narrowly missed triumphs, Emil Frey Racing is ready to take on the GT World Challenge Sprint Cup season finale in Valencia.

“The Gold Cup is approaching its finale in Valencia, and we have a good chance of taking it home, but to do so we need to have a flawless weekend without me or Thierry making any mistakes.”
