Emil Frey Racing aims to get back on track at the Lausitzring
📌 Fast Facts 📌
Emil Frey Racing travels to the Lausitzring with clear goals for the second DTM race weekend of the season. The race win and Pole Position from 2023 are still fond memories. The aim now is to build on these successes - on a track that demands everything with its high speeds, tight corners and unpredictable May weather. For Ben Green, it will be the first DTM outing in the Ferrari 296 GT3 at the Lausitzring, but for him and his team-mates Jack Aitken and Thierry Vermeulen, the goal is clearly defined: two strong races and the next step towards the championship.

Emil Frey Racing travels to the Lausitzring for the second DTM race weekend of the season with a clear focus on the future and the determination to deliver two good races. Jack Aitken's victory and Pole Position from the debut year 2023 remain fond memories. After the season opener in Oschersleben, the team is now doing everything it can to deliver a flawless performance and a successful weekend at the Lausitzring.
The Lausitzring, known for its tricky mix of high-speed sections, tight corners, and technical challenges, is one of the more demanding circuits on the DTM calendar. Especially qualifying requires a perfect lap due to the highly competitive field, as a strong starting position is a crucial fact for a good race result. The unpredictable May weather can also play a decisive role – as last year’s rain-soaked Saturday impressively demonstrated.
It will be the first DTM outing for Ben Green racing the Ferrari 296 GT3 at this circuit – and a true baptism of fire. While the Brit is familiar with the track from other series, this will be his first time tackling it in a GT3 car. Jack Aitken and Thierry Vermeulen are also looking confidently ahead to the weekend as the team has been working meticulously over the past weeks to further optimise the performance.
Things will get serious for Emil Frey Racing from 23rd to 25th May with the DTM heading into its second race weekend of the season. As always, the races will be broadcast live on ProSieben: Saturday’s race at 12:30 PM and Sunday’s at the usual time of 1:30 PM.

DRIVER QUOTES - Emil Frey Racing
Jack Aitken (Great Britain)
"The Lausitzring is a track where I’ve had good results in the past and one I always enjoy driving. I believe we can carry the positive momentum from previous years into this weekend and have a strong performance to get our championship campaign back on track."
Thierry Vermeulen (The Netherlands)
"In Oschersleben, we didn’t come away with the points we deserved. That’s why we’re now looking ahead to the Lausitzring. If we can perform similarly well in qualifying, we should be in a good position to score solid points. The competition is incredibly strong this year, but that’s exactly what makes DTM so special."
Ben Green (Great Britain)
"The race at the Lausitzring is a new challenge for me, as I’ve never driven the track in the Ferrari before. That’s why I’ll need to get up to speed quickly during Friday’s practice! Emil Frey Racing has celebrated success here in the DTM, and if we start the weekend on the right foot, we can build on those achievements."
