Emil Frey Racing looking forward to Double-Header at home round at the Red Bull Ring

September 27th, 2024

After Oschersleben and Zandvoort, Emil Frey Racing is looking forward to the third double-header meeting this coming weekend. The team is gearing up for the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters at the Red Bull Ring, aiming to repeat its recent good results at its home race. After a successful test with the Ferrari 296 GT3, the chances are looking good.

In the DTM, the team from Safenwil has moved up to sixth place in the team championship and into P4 in the drivers' standings thanks to Jack Aitken´s win and a podium finish by Thierry Vermeulen in the last round. At the home race of partner Red Bull and Verstappen.com, the team is heading into the seventh round of the championship in a stronger position.

Jean-Luc D'Auria and Alain Valente also put in a good performance in the ADAC GT Masters recently with a podium and Pole Position and are taking the momentum to Austria.

With its 4.318 kilometres length, the Red Bull Ring is nestled in a beautiful natural landscape. And it is precisely this slope that makes the racetrack something very special, with a maximum gradient of 12% and a maximum gradient of 9.3%.

The third double weekend with the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters will take place in Spielberg (Austria) from 27th to 29th September 2024.

, Team Principal
‘We are expecting a very exciting weekend with lots of guests, to whom we naturally want to show good results. The test day went well, and the team is in a very good mood after the recent great results. We are all really looking forward to starting our home race at the Red Bull Ring with our partners.’

Jürg Flach, Technical Director
‘The race weekend is very important for us, as we want to show a strong performance in terms of our cooperation with Red Bull/Verstappen.com and we also need to collect more important points in the championship with Jack Aitken. The tests were very promising. We should be competitive in the DTM and the GT Masters and try to finish on the podium.

‘Last year we were very strong and achieved some good results. We have a good run after the Sachsenring and I want to take this momentum into the weekend, also because of the great work that Thierry has done recently. It's always fun to drive there, because the long straights allow for a lot of overtaking moves.’

Thierry Vermeulen (The Netherlands) #69
‘It's always a pleasure to drive at the Red Bull Ring, not least because of our partnership with Red Bull and Verstappen.com. The whole team is looking forward to the weekend and the test day showed that the Ferrari is well on track.’

Jean-Luc D´Auria

‘It's the first time I've ever driven there, and I'll be able to learn a lot from Alain, because he already knows the track very well. We came home strong from Spa and would like to continue in the same vein at the Red Bull Ring.’

Alain Valente (Switzerland) #14
‘I'm looking forward to the races because the track is simply fun. I have very fond memories of the Red Bull Ring and hope that we can now claim our first victory after the first podium at Spa.’
