Emil Frey Racing is heading into the sixth race weekend of the DTM season in strong form. Following both a dramatic and successful outing at the Nürburgring, where Ben Green celebrated his first-ever DTM podium and Jack Aitken secured his second victory of the year, the team travels to the historic Sachsenring in second place in the drivers' championship. The goal is to build on their previous performances and secure more valuable points in the title fight – in order to make it into the Top 3 in the team standings as well.

Thierry Vermeulen has fond memories of the Sachsenring: Last year, the Dutchman achieved pole position, the fastest race lap, and third place in the race. Ben Green is also highly motivated to keep the momentum running after his success at the Nürburgring. Both drivers are aiming to collect important points for the team standings.

The Sachsenring is considered one of the most traditional and popular racetracks in Germany. It is 3.645 kilometres long, has 14 turns, and is characterised by a technically demanding, flowing track layout with numerous elevation changes. Since its opening in 1927 and modernisation in 1996, it has offered thrilling races and is considered a special challenge for drivers and teams.

Timetable – DTM Sachsenring:

As always, the one-hour races will be broadcast live on the DTM YouTube channel and on ProSieben TV in Germany. Joyn and ran.de will also show the races live. In Austria, the races will also be shown live on Servus TV.

DRIVER QUOTES - Emil Frey Racing
Jack Aitken
 (Great Britain)
“I'm looking forward to returning to a track where we've always achieved good results, including victories and podium finishes. However, you never know how things will turn out, so we have to give it our all as always.”

Thierry Vermeulen (The Netherlands)
“Sachsenring is one of my favourite tracks because you have to drive very precisely as there is hardly any room for error. I have particularly fond memories of last year with my first pole position and my first podium in the DTM, so I'm really looking forward to the weekend to recover from all the drama at the Nürburgring.”

Ben Green (Great Britain)
“I'm really looking forward to Sachsenring. We've gained some good momentum after the last round, and I also really enjoy driving on this track. It's incredibly fast and a lot of fun. The races are challenging due to the high wear and tear on the track, and it can be difficult to follow closely, but overall, I'm looking forward to the event!”
