Emil Frey Racing kicks off its third DTM season with the season opener in Oschersleben
📌 Fast Facts 📌
Emil Frey Racing is entering its third DTM season with great ambitions. The team will start with three Ferrari 296 GT3s for the first time and is aiming to take the next step after two solid years. Ben Green will make his DTM debut at the season opener in Oschersleben, while Jack Aitken and Thierry Vermeulen will be looking to build on their strong performances from last year. With a highly competitive driver line-up and plenty of experience behind them, Emil Frey Racing is ready to fight for top positions in 2025.
The hotly contested championship kicks off in Oschersleben this coming weekend. With 24 participants and eight manufacturer brands, the new season promises pure excitement. The Swiss team will be competing with three Ferrari 296 GT3s for the first time and is pursuing ambitious goals for 2025.

Jack Aitken in particular wants to build on his strong performance from the previous year. The British driver not only secured Pole Position for the opening race in Oschersleben in 2024, but also raced to victory. Over the course of the season, Aitken celebrated a total of three race wins - a record only shared by Audi driver Kelvin van der Linde.
Thierry Vermeulen is also highly motivated going into the new season. The Dutchman secured his first-ever DTM podium at the Sachsenring in 2024 with a third place and wants to continue to be at the front in 2025.
New to the Emil Frey Racing DTM line-up is Ben Green. The Briton will make his DTM debut at Oschersleben and brings valuable experience from the Sprint Cup, in which he has already been successful for the team. Ben Green has proven himself to be a fast and consistent driver and now wants to demonstrate his qualities in the DTM as well.
The DTM season opener will take place on 26th April in Oschersleben. As in previous years, all races will be shown live on ProSieben.
DRIVER QUOTES - Emil Frey Racing
Jack Aitken (Great Britain)
"This will be my third season with Emil Frey Racing and in the DTM. After a successful year with victories in 2024, we want to give it our all in the battle for the overall standings. I have also used the winter to learn as much as possible from last year and, together with some changes to the calendar and regulations, these will be important lessons!"
Thierry Vermeulen (The Netherlands)
"I'm really looking forward to starting my third year with Emil Frey Racing. With two years of experience behind us, we are well-prepared. Over the winter, we have learnt where we need to improve in order to get the best out of this year. Oschersleben will be an interesting weekend. I want to get the season off to a clean start. It's always difficult to set expectations in the DTM, but I'm competing to be competitive and hopefully to get a podium."
Ben Green (Great Britain)
"I'm really looking forward to the start of the 2025 season. For me, competing in the DTM means that I can realise a long-term goal, and representing a team like Emil Frey is a real honour. I think I can bring a good level of experience from the GT Masters and Sprint Cup to the DTM, but I also expect a high level of competition and a steep learning curve. I raced at Oschersleben in 2022 and really enjoyed it, so I'm looking forward to going there again, but this time in a Ferrari."
