Press release

Emil Frey Racing motivated for the DTM and ADAC GT Masters Season Finale

Safenwil – 17th October 2024

Emil Frey Racing is eagerly awaiting the grand finale of the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters at the Hockenheimring. The traditional racetrack near Mannheim has so far hosted the most touring car races on German soil, and the Swiss team led by Lorenz Frey-Hilti has achieved good results at Hockenheim over the years. The aim now is to end the season on a high.

Although Jack Aitken, currently in 7th place, no longer has a chance in the battle for the DTM drivers' title, the Englishman is still the only driver this season to have clinched three race wins. Young Dutchman Thierry Vermeulen's star shone brightly at the Sachsenring recently and Max Verstappen's protégé wants to give it his all again at Hockenheim.

With two podium results for Jean-Luc D'Auria and Alain Valente in the ADAC GT Masters, the team fell far short of expectations. However, the performance curve has been steadily rising since the Pole Position in Spa-Francorchamps, and the Swiss driver duo would like to celebrate a conciliatory end to the season.

The grand finale of the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters will take place at the Hockenheimring from 18th to 20thOctober 2024. As always, all races can be followed live on ProSieben or on the YouTube channels @DTM and @ADACMotorsports.

“Hockenheim has always been a good place for us and we are really looking forward to the season finale of the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters. It has been a long season with many happy but also disappointing experiences for the entire team and I hope that we can finish the year with another great result in both racing series.”

Jürg Flach, Technical Director
“After the last race weekend at the Red Bull Ring, Jack Aitken's chances of achieving a Top-3 finish have unfortunately become impossible. I very much hope that we will be able to finish the season with good results at Hockenheim.”

“I always look forward to Hockenheim because it's a track with a great history and is usually a lot of fun for us too. We did well last year, but we definitely want to improve our performance a bit more. It's the last race of the season, so of course we want to finish with a result we can be proud of.”

“Hockenheim marks the end of my second season in the DTM and I am grateful to have been part of this great championship together with Emil Frey Racing and Verstappen.com. Now we want to end the season with a highlight and I will personally do my best.”

“I'm really looking forward to Hockenheim. I was able to win a race last year and that is our goal again this year. The season was difficult and we had hoped for more, so a good finish at the end of the year is all the more important.”
