Emil Frey Racing heads into the fourth round of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup this coming weekend, taking place at the French track of Magny-Cours from 1st until 3rd August 2025. Despite experiencing ups and downs in the first half of the season, the team currently leads the Gold category. Drivers Thierry Vermeulen and Chris Lulham are also at the top of the standings in the Gold class.
The 4.411-kilometre Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, located about 200 kilometres south of Paris, presents another special challenge for the team. As in Misano, Saturday’s race will be held under floodlights. The night race, starting at 20:30, not only provides a spectacular backdrop but also demands the highest level of strategic and technical performance from the team. The track itself requires a careful balance between speed and handling to be competitive on both the fast sections and the tight corners.
A look back at last year shows that, after a start-line accident from pole position and narrowly missing out on a podium finish, Emil Frey Racing is focused on making amends at Magny-Cours this time around.

DRIVER QUOTES - Emil Frey Racing
Thierry Vermeulen (The Netherlands)
"It’s important for us to have a strong weekend at Magny-Cours, and I want to fight for podium places in both races – ideally in the overall ranking. The team is working so hard, and we deserve to be consistently at the front."
Ben Green (Great Britain)
“I’m really looking forward to going back to Magny-Cours, where I achieved pole position last season and if it wasn’t for some unfortunate contact from a car behind, we would’ve been fighting for the win. It’s a track I really enjoy driving at and I can’t wait to hit the track again in less than two weeks.”
Konsta Lappalainen (Finland)
“Unfortunately, we haven’t yet been able to show our full potential, and I hope that will change at Magny-Cours. I’m hoping we can finally tap into everything we’ve got and fight for the top positions.”
Chris Lulham (Great Britain)
“Magny-Cours is a tricky and technical track; one I got along with well during pre-season testing and genuinely enjoyed. I expect the races there to start off quite wild, but I’m confident that if we keep things clean, we can fight for a podium finish.”
