Construction work for the racetrack began on 23rd March 1932. By 29th May 1932 it had already opened.
The Motodrom
The Motodrom concept was drawn up at the beginning of the 1960s. It opened in 1966 on the occasion of the “German Motorcycle Grand Prix”.
120,000 spaces
The alterations carried out between 1999 and 2003 resulted in the racetrack being shortened by 2km. This means that there is now space for 120,000 spectators on the grandstands.
